Tizz apps inc. ("we", "us", "our", "Tizz") provides a platform that lets users connect external providers such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office 365, Zoho, and other integrations for synchronization and management. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and your rights regarding your personal information.
By using or registering for any of our services, you consent to the collection, transfer, processing, storage, disclosure and other uses described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not access or use our services.
Definitions
- Client or Customer means a customer of Tizz.
- Personal Data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
- User means an employee, agent, or representative of a Client who uses our platform.
- Content means any information or data that you upload, submit, post, create, transmit, store or display in our services.
- Cloud Services means Tizz's software as a service solutions.
Data We Collect
Account and Identity Information
- Identifiers: name, email address, account_id, tenant_id, user_id
- Profile information: username, profile photo, job title, company name, position
- Billing information: mailing address, phone number, credit card or other payment details
Connection Credentials
- OAuth tokens or access credentials generated when you authorize integrations (Google, Microsoft, Zoho, or others)
- Authentication information for third-party services you connect
Service Data You Direct
- Content you create, post, send, receive, and share through our services
- Objects you authorize for synchronization (e.g., calendar events, project tasks), limited to the scopes you grant
- Communication data when you interact with other users through our platform
Automatically Collected Information
- Device and browser information: IP address, browser type, pages requested
- Usage patterns and preferences across different devices
- Performance data: bug reports, crash logs, performance statistics
- Geographic area or preferences when linked to personal identifiers
Usage and Diagnostics
- Operational logs, counters, and technical context necessary to run and secure the platform
- Information about how you interact with our services
- Customer service interactions and support requests
Use of Data
- Service Provision: Provide and operate integrations with third-party providers you authorize
- Account Management: Register and manage your account, process service requests
- Platform Operations: Understand usage trends, improve our services, create new features
- Security and Compliance: Maintain platform security, fraud detection, and legal compliance
- Customer Support: Resolve technical issues and provide customer service
- Communications: Send required service notifications, updates, and newsletters (with opt-out)

Performance Data Usage
We collect and use performance data including statistics, bug fixes, and similar technical data to improve our services. This performance data is stripped of all personally identifiable information before use. We may use such anonymized performance data for any purpose, including development, testing, and research.
User-Generated Content and Data
You are solely responsible for the content and data you import, upload, or sync through our platform. This includes ensuring you have appropriate rights and permissions for any data you connect from third-party services. Tizz does not review, verify, or take responsibility for the accuracy, legality, or appropriateness of user-imported data.
You warrant that your use of imported data complies with all applicable laws and third-party service terms. Any disputes regarding imported content are between you and the relevant third parties.
Third-Party Provider Data
Our use of data obtained from providers (Google, Microsoft, Zoho, or others) is limited to providing the features you request. We do not sell or use this data for advertising purposes.
Our use complies with each provider's policies, including:
- Google API Services User Data Policy
- Microsoft API Terms of Service
- Zoho API Terms and Conditions
This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party applications or software that integrate with our services. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of any third-party applications you use.
Data Retention
Connection and platform data are retained during your active use of our services and deleted within 30 days of account termination. However, we may retain certain data to:
- Complete transactions and perform refunds
- Maintain underwriting and accounting records
- Comply with legal obligations and tax requirements
Operational logs may be retained for a fixed period (generally between 5 and 10 years) where necessary for compliance with legal, accounting, or security obligations. Retention will not exceed the duration strictly required for these purposes.
Security Measures
- Encryption: Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS with TLS v1.2 or higher, and at rest following industry standards
- Access Controls: Strict access controls and monitoring systems protect your data
- Infrastructure: Hosting in Canada with SOC 2 Type 2-aligned security measures
- Replication: Cloud data is replicated across multiple nodes for redundancy
While we implement strong security measures, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure due to potential firewall or security software failures.
Your Rights (Including GDPR)
Individuals from the EU/EEA and other jurisdictions may have additional rights under data privacy laws, including:
- Right to Information: Request details about data processing purposes, categories, and recipients
- Right to Access: Obtain a copy of your personal data we hold
- Right to Rectification: Correct inaccurate personal data
- Right to Erasure: Delete personal data when no longer necessary (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Right to Restrict Processing: Limit how we process your data in certain circumstances
- Right to Data Portability: Receive your data in a structured, commonly used format
- Right to Object: Cease processing for direct marketing purposes

Children's Privacy
Tizz is intended for business and organizational use and not directed to minors. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the minimum legal age in their jurisdiction (13 in the U.S., up to 16 in the EU/EEA). If you are below the applicable minimum age, please do not use our services.
Data Storage and Location
All data is stored and processed in Canada, which provides strong data protection laws and adequate safeguards for personal information. By storing data within Canada, we ensure compliance with GDPR adequacy requirements and provide EU/EEA residents with equivalent protection to that provided within the European Union.
Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and provincial privacy laws provide data protection recognized by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of protection under the GDPR.
Cross-Border Transfers
Although Tizz primarily stores and processes data in Canada, certain technical or operational processes may involve limited access or transfers to other jurisdictions. Additionally, when you integrate with third-party services (Google, Microsoft, Zoho), the data region for those services is controlled by your organization's tenant settings with those providers. Where data must be accessed or transferred outside Canada, we will apply reasonable safeguards consistent with applicable law to protect your personal data. Tizz does not currently rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent EU mechanisms, since our hosting and primary operations are located in Canada, a jurisdiction recognized by the European Commission as providing adequate protection under the GDPR.
Policy Changes
We may update this policy and will notify you of material changes via the platform, email, or by posting the updated policy on our website. Continued use after the effective date indicates acceptance of changes. If you object to changes, you may close your account by contacting us.
